Helen Erbe wint Young Rider Team Test
They drove late last night. The program of the first day concluded with the CDI Young Riders Team Test, sponsored by Henders & Häzel. In this test Helen Erbe drove to the overall victory by being the only one to score above 70%.
The German rider won 71.324% in the saddle of Fürst Kaspar (Fürst Piccolo). The pair went astray at the turnout every three, but managed to excel with a clever version of the flying turnouts and half pirouette.
Together with her 10-year-old Dear Friend 2 (Danone 1), the Belgian rider, Suraya Hendrikx, rode in second place with 69.853%. Hendrikx showed a nice test but struggled with a miscommunication in the half pirouette. Hendrikx had to share her second place with the Dutch rider Zoe Kuintjes.
In the saddle of the 10-year-old Cupid (Tuschinski), the Dutch rider placed in shared second place with also 69.853%. The Dutch was placed on one by one of the three jury members. The couple showed a steadfast performance.
