Ann-Christin Wienkamp wint CDI4* Prix St. Georges

Het was een spannende strijd in de internationale CDI4* Prix St. Georges. Maar liefst vijf combinaties scoorden ruim boven de grens van 70% in deze PSG. De Duitse amazone Ann-Christin Wienkamp wist twee van de vijf juryleden te overtuigen met haar Nymphenburgs First Choice (v.Fidertanz). De combinatie scoorde met het appuyement dat alleen maar achten kreeg. Ook de harmonie tussen paard en ruiter viel bij de jury in de smaak.

Met een totaal van 72,235% bleef de combinatie ruim voor op de Britse amazone, Charlotte Fry met Fendi T. Samen met de negenjarige Negro-zoon verzamelde de Britse een totaal score van 71,735%. Zowel Freddy Leyman als de Nederlandse Janine van Twist plaatsten de combinatie op één. De combinatie reed een heel stabiele proef waarbij enkel de halve pirouette iets minder goed afgewerkt was.

Voor eigen publiek werkte Thibault Vandenberghe het podium af met zijn Santiago Song (Sir Donnerhall I). Een heel constant optreden resulteerde in een totaal score van 71,118%.

Net buiten het podium volgde de Nederlandse amazone, Kristine Moller op de vierde plaats met Standing O’Vation TSF (70,921%). De publieksfavoriet, Jorinde Verwimp werkte de top vijf af met haar Kastar Hof Ter Zeedycke D’12 (70,765%).

Ann-Christin Wienkamp wins CDI4* Prix St. Georges

It was an exciting competition in the international CDI4* Prix St. Georges. No fewer than five combinations scored well above the 70% in this PSG. The German rider Ann-Christin Wienkamp managed to convince two of the five judges with her Nymphenburg’s First Choice (by Fidertanz). The combination scored with the appuyement that only got eights. The harmony between horse and rider was also appreciated by the jury. With a total of 72.235%, the combination stayed well ahead of the British rider, Charlotte Fry with Fendi T. Together with the nine-year Negro son, the British collected a total score of 71.735%.

Both Freddy Leyman and Dutch Janine van Twist placed the combination at the first place. The combination drove a very steady test in which only the half pirouette was slightly less well finished.

In front of his own audience Thibault Vandenberghe took the third place with his Santiago Song (Sir Donnerhall I). A very consistent performance resulted in a total score of 71.118%.

The audience favorite, Jorinde Verwimp finished the top five with her Kastar Hof Ter Zeedycke D’12 (70.765%).
